Acrel Launches Smart Demand Management Solution to Help Enterprises Cut Energy Costs

Acrel Launches Smart Demand Management Solution to Help Enterprises Cut Energy Costs

Acrel announced the introduction of its Smart Demand Monitoring and Management Solution, designed to help industrial and commercial users reduce basic electricity charges and prevent overload risks in their power distribution systems.   In many facilities, the maximum demand of electrical load — determined by transformer and feeder capacity — has a direct impact on power billing. When instantaneous load exceeds the designed limit, it can lead to equipment failures such as burnt cables or transformer damage. Meanwhile, the basic electricity fee, calculated based on transformer capacity or maximum demand, often accounts for a major portion of the total energy cost.   Acrel’s solution targets this challenge by optimizing the use of large-load equipment through intelligent scheduling. By shifting peak loads to off-peak periods, enterprises can effectively reduce maximum demand and avoid unnecessary fixed electricity expenses.     Powered by APM520 smart power meters, AWT communication modules, and the EIoT cloud platform, the system delivers: · Real-time maximum demand monitoring and trend visualization · Automatic recording of maximum demand and occurrence time     The system is especially suited for manufacturing plants, data centers, commercial complexes, and cold chain facilities—locations where peak load often fluctuates and energy cost pressure is high.   Acrel will continue to expand its energy management portfolio to support global customers in achieving smarter, greener, and more economical operations.
